#1 – A Delight to Watch
The combination of hunger and anger can be quite formidable. At least it was for Samuel L. Jackson!
While auditing for “Pulp Fiction,” when Jackson saw that Paul Calderon, another actor that was in contention for his role, was called back for a second round, being famished and furious, he turned to a hamburger to pacify himself. When he came back to the set with the half-eaten hamburger, Tarantino asked him to continue acting with it and the actor’s conviction towards the character eventually led to him being cast in the movie.

#2 – When Real and Reel Worlds Clash
Remember the 1991 movie “The Silence of the Lambs?” As it turns out, the film’s actors took their roles a little too seriously!
In 2016 when Jodie Foster appeared on “The Graham Norton Show,” she revealed she rarely spoke to her co-star Anthony Hopkins during the filming of TSOTL. Upon asking why, the actress said that when she met Hopkins for the first time at a script reading, she was terrified of his performance and held onto that notion ‘til the movie’s production wrapped up. Foster added that on the last day of shooting, Hopkins sidled up to her as she was enjoying her tuna fish sandwich on a lunch break. At the time, she was so scared of him that her eyes brimmed with tears—fun fact; it was later revealed that Hopkins felt exactly the same about her!
#3 – Sometimes, Too Many Cooks Don’t Spoil the Broth
While filming “Braveheart,” Mel Gibson, called upon William Wallace’s clan when he needed extras for some of the film’s scenes. Despite the large amount of extras and too many moving parts in that particular scene, it worked out in the end and the film proved to be a commercial success.
#4 – A Living Souvenir
Who says love at first sight doesn’t exist? Just look at Billy Crystal, who ended up owning his horse from the 1991 flick “City Slickers” in real life too. During the filming of the movie, Crystal rode a beautiful white horse named Beechnut, and from the beginning, they shared a very special bond. So much so that when the movie’s production was finally over, the horse wrangler was more than happy to give Beechnut to Crystal.
