Today, there are one hundred and ninety-seven (197) countries in the world, and together, they are home to some 7.9 billion individuals. Most people believe there are one hundred and ninety-five (195) countries, with one hundred and ninety-three (193) of them being members of the United Nations (UN) while the other two nations are UN Observers, Palestine and the Holy See.
However, when you add Palestine and Kosovo to the mix, we have a total of 197 nations in the world. Some of these countries are quite large–China, for example, has a population of well over one billion while others like the Holy See had a population of 800+ in 2019. Grenada
Grenada is a Caribbean country that has an island also called Grenada. It is also called the “Spice Isle” because of the numerous nutmeg plantations on its main island. As of 2020, the World Bank had put Grenada’s population at 112,519 which is spread across the country’s 133-square-mile area. Grenada’s population is in love with crickets as their main sport.

Malta covers an area of 122 square miles and has a population of 516,000 people. It is an archipelago between Sicily and the North African coast and a historic site that played a major role during the Crusades. The country gets much of its revenue from foreign trade, tourism, and manufacturing electronics and pharmaceuticals. The Republic of Malta has three different parts, namely Gozo, Comino, and Malta.

The Maldives covers an area of 116 square miles and has a population of 544,000 as of 2021. Like Malta, Maldives is also an Archipelago but with 1,192 coral islands which are divided into 26 coral Atolls. Of these, only 200 of these coral islands have people living in them. Hence, Maldives is the most dispersed country in all of Asia.
Saint Kitts and Nevis
Saint Kitts and Nevis is an unusual two-island country located in the Eastern Caribbean that has birthed historical figures like Alexander Hamilton, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. Saint Kitts and Nevis has 8 islands in total, with two of them being major islands. As of 2020, the Eastern Caribbean country had a population of 53,192 and covers an area of about 101 square miles.
